Eighty young people from around France met for youth retreat in this past April, in the region of Alsace. At the outset of the meeting Brother Nathan Hulsman, the special speaker for the event, asked who had not received the Holy Ghost. Seven young people responded. This new year is bringing with it an exciting new direction for our work in France. Near the end of 2009 the missionary team here met for a meal and to discuss upcoming events. One thing that will be happening soon is Brother Brochu’s return to the States for deputation. We were asked, and accepted, to fill in for them in Chatellerault, in western France, during their absence. This felt like a good step forward.

As we come to the end of this year, I’ve been reflecting on all that has passed.

It was our privilege to attend our first Because of the Times conference this year. We had a wonderful time with seeing friends and supporters. We were blessed by the Word of God that was brought to us. The most exciting part for us was when the attendees raised the rest of our PIM budget in just a few moments as God was moving among us. This signaled the beginning of our preparation to leave for France!
